I ripped this off from Guo Rong blog, and after reading through this article, I feel like slapping Ms Berveley what-ever across her sagging face.

Basically this old lady expects the seat to be given up for her when she board the train. Like, wtf? Take the bloody cab if you want to sit down. Oh cab fares too expensive for you? sucks to be you then.

lets think this through

1) she "expects the 'priority seats' for the elderly and infirm to be readily offered to me as advised by the notices in the train.

WTF does she mean by expect? You mean its a right? No i dont think so. And as she said "advised by the notices" it clearly means that people are encouraged to do so, not obligated to do so. get it? loser old lady who demands thing to handed her on the platter.

2) She boarded the train and the priority seats were filled with teenagers who disregard the notices.

What makes her think that these teenagers do not need the seats more than she does? just because they are younger than she is by a few decades? Maybe teenagers had a long day working at john little standing at the perfume counter? Maybe they had a tiring day in school?

And so what if they disregard the notice? Its their choice what, you her mother ar? care so much for fuck?

3) The teenager only gave up her seat when she showed her senior card.

WTF? hello people giving up their seat for you and yr saggy skin is a PRIVILEDGE, NOT A RIGHT. so dont go around demanding seats from people. Just because you are older. In fact, since you are older you should be wiser to know that having a seat on the train is a priviledged.

Hello people pay the exact same fare as you okay?

4) Something must be amiss in our education system when respect for the elderly and official notices have no effects on today's young.

The education and textbooks are ALL wrong. not all elderly deserves respect and NOT ALL old people are kind hearted and bake cookes at home. Just today i saw an uncle on the bloody train kpkb into his 3310 and smell like he hasnt showered for 5 years. Im glad the person beside me didnt give his seat to the old guy so i dun have to bear with the stench from that uncle

There are of course some old people who are really nice and stuffs and these are the ones that we all should respect. fuck the textbooks, they are all wrong.


Of course i will give up my seat to someone who needs it more than i do. But if im really tired, sorry la. And i do think that people should give up seats as well, however those old people ought to know that having seats on train is a priviledge not a right. Nobody is obligated to give up their seats for you.
